The Fantastic Game

The first area of the game. Here, we can see the Smash Mouth eggs, the platforming section, along with the Fantastic Orb room.

The Fantastic Game is a 3D exploration game developed in the Unity Engine by Fantasticaneer. It's first version was created on June, 7th, 2012 and it's second and currently, the last version was made shortly after the first one, on September, 23rd, 2012. It became apparent that the creator has abandoned the game, because it hasn't been updated since the second version, even though at the end of the game, he mentions that "fantastic 2.0 coming soon". The Fantastic Game is the first ever created game that fits into the egg-like genre. That can proven in a sentence of a YouTube Livestreamer and gamer Vinny from the Vinesauce group. In the video, he mensions tat the game is "egg-like", referring to the amount of weirdness contained within the game, taking as an example the big, white eggs seen near the corners of the first area of the game.

At The Fantastic Game, the player's mission is to find and collect Dollaz, which are important, as they unlock and uncover normally inacessible areas of the game. There are 16 dollaz in total and can be found as a prize for solving platforming sections, at the end of long hall ways and some can be only accessed through a hidden teleporter.

The Fantastic Game makes numerous amounts of references to music and art not so known by people in a funny way. Under this paragraph lies a list of locations and buildings found inside The Fantastic Game:

  • Seizure chamber: A big and colorful chamber in the shape of a tube with an entrance on it's front that slowly rotates itself. Upon entering the chamber, a music called "Bright underpants to ya chief" can be heard, but will stop if the player exits the building. There's a dolla in the seizure chamber, probably one of the first dollas collected for the newbies.
  • Musical rocks: Right in front of the spawn platform can be found two lines of rocks. When one of the rocks are stepped on by the player, it will play an unique, musical note. The sound is described as if a pan got hit. The music notes does not show a programmed order and are pretty much random. Along with these rocks there's a blue, smaller one that acts differently. This one will play a set of specific music notes, that keeps progressively changing.
  • Colorful CUBES: A collection of cubes found near the Smash Mouth eggs. Each one has it's specific color and specific size. The only similarity found on all the cubes is the fact that the word "Cube', with the letters fully capitalized serves as a texture for each side of them.
  • Manah Manah hallway: A long hallway that plays the song "Manah Manah" from the Muppets while the player is walking in this hallway. The music will stop when the player reach the end of it. At the end, a text saying that there's an invisible platform behind the Smash Mouth eggs and a dolla can be found. There's a second dolla behind the platform is floating and this one is impossible to collect. If the player tries to get the dolla, it will fail and will fall, and then gets teleported to the Dark Room. In the dark room, there's a big blue eye ball that will stare into the player. Under the eye there's a dolla that can be collected. The only way to escape the room is by teleporting back to the spawn, by pressing "G".
  • Dolla under the spawn: As the name says, there's a secret dolla under the spawn. It's considered the first dolla collected by the speed runners, due to it's location. Under the map lies an invisible, large platform, along with the dolla that is surrounded by four images. The images are a chicken, some sort of cake, Richard Nixon and DIck Biondi.
  • Smash Mouth eggs: The Smash Mouth eggs are a group of 4 white eggs, located in the northwestern side of the first area of the game. When the player approaches the eggs, a portion of the music "All Star" by Smash Mouth can be heard playing over and over "So much to do, so much to see". The Smash Mouth eggs are probably one of the first things that come in a person's mind who knows a lot of The Fantastic Game, when questioned about it.
  • Bright underpants to ya, chief!: An invisible platform that can be seen behind the Smash Mouth eggs, which will lead to a hole and subsequently, a long tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, the player will find a dolla and a rotating image of white underpants with a smile. Under this image will be the following text: "Bright underpants to ya, chief!"
  • Fantastic Orb room & Platforming section: The Fantastic Orb is a white, floating sphere that emits light and that possess fire on top of it, and that plays the music "I Feel Fantastic" by Johnathan Coulton. It's located inside a room of the same name and serves as a platform for the Platforming section. The Platforming section, as the name says, is a small obby which it's considerably difficult to do due to the fact that it's a FPS game and that the jump physics are similar to that of a moon jump. Once the player completes the obby, it's prize will be a dolla, on top of a "cloud" once the player reaches that area, a different version of the music "Pendulum" by Propane Nightmares will play until the player quits the area. The game will also tell the player that he can teleport to there whenever he wants by pressing "P".
  • Waluigi hallway & [RESTRICTED] door: Behind the Fantastic Orb room, there's the painting of Bomb-Omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64. If the player jumps into the painting, it will be teleported to a different location and will have the option to enter two areas. The first one is the Waluigi hallway, locked by a door that can only be opened if the player has atleast 1 dolla. Once the door is unlocked, both hallways will be unlocked as well. The Waluigi hallway is a purple, long hallway that plays a loud music when the player is inside. At the end, the player will find the first and only dolla that will make for two. There is also an image that says "Did you know that Waluigi wears cyan-eyeshadow?". The other hallway will lead to a door that reads "[RESTRICTED]" in the front, and that plays a creepy music. If the player keeps staring into the door for too long, the sky will turn black and will not change unless the player restarts the game.
  • 3 eggs, 2 chairs, 1 table: These things are located near the Bottomless pit. Once the player approaches the objects, the music called "I beg you" will play, in a highly distorted way, making it practically unrecognizable. The music was originally made by a fan and is a short parody of "All Star" by Smash Mouth.
  • Bottomless pit: A hole and a sign, located in the northeastern side of the first area. The sign is telling the player to not jump into the hole in all verbally ways possible. If the player ignores the sign and jumps into the hole, it's FOV (Field of Vision) will increase and a music called "Do you feel angry?" will both play forever. Inside the hole there's a text saying GAME OVER and the subtitle saying "You're not human enough to be Marcos Lopez" all over the walls. This effect will stay forever unless the player restarts the game.
  • Polybius arcade machine: An arcade machine of the creepypasta/urban legend of a mysterious, killer arcade machine called "Polybius" is found near the ramp which leads to the "psst" hallway. Currently, the player cannot interact in any ways with the object. At the object, the text "Insert coin' keeps flashing in the screen, and a joystick stuck in the object can also be found. An ironic secret contained within the machine is the SCP Foundation logo written on the right side of the object that can also be found.
  • "NO THING TO SEE HERE!": A very simple, yet hard to find secret in the game. Is the message "NO THING TO SEE HERE" in a green rectangle at the very edge of the west side of the ramp that leads to the "psst" hallway.
